Pursuant the protocol signed by prof. d-r eng. Stoyan Bratoev on 7th of July 2015, “Euro Alliance Engineering” is going to construct Metro station 8 “Orlov most”. According to him, this Metro station is the hardest for construction from this section. As equivalent project he pointed Metro station “Serdika”, which was also constructed by “Euro Alliance Engineering”. In order not to influence the park zone, instead the classical open method with fortification - the New Austrian Tunneling Method will be applied. A tunnel with one central starting shaft is going to be constructed (unlike Metro station “Serdika”, which was constructed with two starting shafts).
The station has connection with Line 1 by the existing tunnel with the travellators to Metro station “Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski””. A connection with the park entrance in front “Ariana” lake is going to be constructed under the river. The underpass for connection with “Tzarevetz” street is going to be used. The exit for “San Stefano” street is going to be through the existing underpass.
