Since June Adval has been excavating the Bühltunnel in Siegen, Germany. The one-tube road tunnel is 525 m long with a cross section 87 - 100 m². The excavation is divided into a NATM part which is 417 m long, a cut-and-cover part which is 57 m long and a open section 51 m. The project also consists of an additional emergency shaft which is 149 m long with a cross section 13,5 m².

Adval is executing the excavation and reinforcing works using the New Austrian Tunneling Method. The works started on June 1st and are proceeding according to schedule. Until today (07.09) we have excavated 170 m of the calotte and appx. 40 m of the bank.
